Phezoucha Pirates and RS Challengers enter quarters
Kohima, Dec. 4 (EMN): Keyake Phezoucha Pirates and RS Challengers won their respective matches and entered the quarterfinals of the ongoing 5th edition of the 10-Northern Angami-I T20 Bash organised by Brotherhood Group at the Kohima village ground, Ziekezou on Monday.
In the first match Keyake Phezoucha Pirates beat Chedema Strikers by 95 runs. Keyake Phezoucha Pirates electing to bat first scored a huge target of 189/9 in 20 overs. Nemia scored 78 runs in 47 balls and Nipu scored 25 runs in 25 balls for Pirates, while Mhalezhazo claimed three wickets in four overs.
Chasing a mammoth target of 190 runs, Chedema Strikers were all out in 91 runs in 16.2 overs. Rokophrelie (25) was the highest scorer for Strikers, while Kezu and Kisa took two wickets each for Pirates. Nemia of Pirates was adjudged as the man of the match for his half-century.
RS Challengers defeated D Khel United by 25 runs in the second match to enter the quarters of the tournament.
RS Challengers elected to bat and scored 133 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Imli (27 not out) and Gugu (26) were the highest scorers for Challenger, while Akholie claimed three wickets in four overs for United.
In reply, D Khel United managed to score only 108/8 in 20 overs. Sato scored the highest 28 runs for United, while Rishi claimed five wickets in four overs and Akum took two wickets in four overs for Challengers.
Rishi of Challengers was awarded as the man of the match for claiming five wickets.
