Kenuozou Wolves and North Block Warriors enter quarters

Kohima, Dec. 1 (EMN): Kenuozou Wolves and North Block Warriors won their last respective league matches in Group B and entered the quarters of the ongoing 5th edition of 10th Northern Angami-1 T20 cricket bash played here at KVC ground, Ziekezou, Kohima village on Friday.
In the first match, Kenuozou Wolves beat Lower L Khel Vikings by four wickets. Vikings elected to bat and scored a total of 119/8 in 20 overs.
Toto (32) and Lijanbemo (25) contributed the highest run for Vikings, while Tovi claimed four wickets in four overs for Wolves. Chasing 120 runs, Kenuozou Wolves scored 121 runs in total losing six wickets in 15 overs. Riding on Atu’s 79 runs in 50 balls handed Wolves the victory in 15 overs. Atsung and Meren took two wickets each for Vikings.
Atu of Kenuozou was adjudged as the man of the match for his half-century.
In the second match, North Block Warrior beat Middle Bayavu Lions by seven wickets.
North Block winning the toss elected to bowl and restricted Middle Bayavii for just 98 runs all out in 15 overs. Thejanguzo (19 not out) scored the highest runs for Bayavii while Khriesavituo claimed three wickets in four overs for Warriors.
In reply, North Block Warriors reached the target in 9.3 overs losing three wickets in the process.
Renjanthung (28) and Abhijit (25) contributed the highest run for Warrior. Neitsizo took two wickets in three overs for Lions. Khriesavituo of North Block was awarded the man of the match.
It may be mentioned that Lower Bayavii Giants and Upper Bayavii Sixers on better run rate (+0.559) have reached the quarterfinal of the tournament in Group A.
