Dimapur, Aug. 24 (EMN): The Northeast Futsal League (NEFL) is all set to kick-off from today at the NC Bordoloi Indoor Stadium, Sarusajai Guwahati, Assam. It is India’s first-ever mixed-gender futsal league, which will feature six teams in total, and will be played over a period of seven days (August 25 to the 31st), stated an update received here on Saturday.

The inaugural match will be played between Assam Titans and Nagaland Super 5. Tickets are available on Playnlive.com and at the gates.

International players were allotted to all the teams through draws.

Allotment of foreign players-

Teams:

Assam Titans: Paula Rubio Fernandez (Spain) and Carlos Antonio (Spain)

Meghalaya Thunders: ArianaMartos Romero (Spain) and Francis Onyeama (Nigeria)

Nagaland Super 5: Patricia Ballesteros Bermero and Alex Rubio Carretero (Spain)

Apunba Manipur:  Joana Garcia Duran (Spain) and Henry Opara (Nigeria)

Arunachal Highlanders: Paula Boza Gil (Spain) and Mario Navarro Penalver (Spain)

Mizo Falcons: Jessica Pastor Carreno (Spain) and Michael Okwudili (Nigeria)
