Normal life affected in Manipur

Correspondent Imphal, January 26 [dropcap]N[/dropcap]ormal life in Manipur remained paralysed on Sunday due to the boycott call and subsequent dawn to dusk general strike called by the Coordination Committee (CorCom) of Manipur based armed groups- Kangleipak Communist Party, Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak Party (Pro), Revolutionary People’s Front and United National Liberation Front.All forms of transportations, movement of vehicles, entertainment including cinema and theatre shows and all activities of trade and commerce were affected due to the ‘general strike’ which concludes at 5 pm in the afternoon. The busy Khwairamband Keithel in Imphal also wore a deserted look since morning to evening.
