Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Advisor of Tourism, Art and Culture, H Khehovi, laid the foundation stone for the development of pilgrimage infrastructure funded under Prashad scheme 2019 at Noksen village in Tuensang village on June 26.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony, Khehovi lauded Noksen village for producing four ministers since the statehood. He informed that the stated government had identified a heritage site for development at Noksen where Godhula Brown, pioneer missionary, visited the village from 1880-90 AD. He has sought support and co-operation from the villagers for the successful completion of the project within the stipulated period.
Khehovi also affirmed that he is fully committed to delivering justice as a whole irrespective of tribes. He further stated that the global pandemic has taught the Nagas to revive traditional farming and rearing of domestic animals in order to be self-sufficient.
Thungdemo Patton, EE Tourism, highlighted on the project, while the programme was chaired by Moatemsu, senior tourism officer, and the vote of thanks pronounced by Toka Tuccumi, assistant director of Tourism.
