Dimapur, June 16 (EMN):
Noklak police, which was established in 2020, has been recognised with its emblem.

The Nagaland Police update read, “Another feather in Noklak Police cap. Noklak Police logo and emblem approved and officially designated by DGP Nagaland….New district. New goals. Frontier sentinels. Service to its best.”

A circular from the Superintendent of Police, Noklak, elucidated that the “shape of the emblem/ logo depicts the shield of protection and service; red colour at border signifies for glorious history of unit and sacrifice; khakhi colour represents colour of soil which signifies foundation of every society with warmth, safety, trust, and service; blue colour signifies harmony and peace at the mother earth; 5 stars shown signify the frontier sentinels to perform duties par excellence with valour and strength; and the bird eagle symbolises to reach beyond the sky limits for our service towards society with determination, dedication and sincerity.”

The motto of the Noklak Police “honour, integrity and service” signifies that service towards society would be done with utmost integrity and honour.

The sobriquet “frontier sentinel” signifies guardian, protector, defender and saviour of frontier district (i.e.) Noklak.  Noklak district, the youngest district in Nagaland was declared as a separate district on December 21, 2017, and three years later the district was officially and formally inaugurated on January 20, 2021, as the 12th district by the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, with Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra as the first superintendent of police and Reny Wilfred as the first deputy commissioner.
