Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): In an effort to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and in view of positive cases being reported in Noklak town area, District Task Force (DTF), Noklak conducted a special intensified testing camp on Thursday.
The special testing camp was conducted in all the eleven sectors of Noklak town with the participation of sector chairman, GBs and other prominent personalities in order to identify those who might have contracted the virus.
According to an update, a total of 495 persons were tested as per house-to-house survey, out of which six were tested Covid-19 positive.
Meanwhile, Peshu Nyukya village under Thonoknyu sub-division of Noklak district became the first village in the district to achieve 100% Covid vaccination for all eligible beneficiaries above 18 years of age on Thursday.
It informed that a special intensified vaccination drive has been initiated by the district administration and Health department of the sub-division spearheaded by DTF, Noklak.
It added that this milestone in vaccination should help clear confusion and apprehension on the vaccine caused by false information and rumours.
