Training on Livestock Insurance Scheme under National Livestock Mission held in Noklak to support farmers and para-veterinarians.

DIMAPUR — A training on livestock insurance scheme for para-veterinarians and farmers under National Livestock Mission (NLM) 2025-26 was conducted at Khaokhan Hall, Noklak town, on April 15.
According to a DIPR report, the training, chaired by supervisor L Chilia, was organised by the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) department, Noklak.
CVO vice chairman Noklak, Dr. H Pamingchuba, in his keynote address, stated that the scheme will be implemented in collaboration with the National Insurance Company Limited with the aim to give financial protection to animal owners by insuring their animals.

The scheme will also assist livestock owners against death, loss, or damage from specific risk. Pamingchuba encouraged livestock farmers to avail the scheme to protect their losses.
The insights of livestock insurance scheme regulations, claim documents, financial security, benefits and risk factors and the detail procedures of this scheme was presented by VAS & District Nodal Officer Dr. H Puchaiu, the resource person for the livestock insurance scheme.
The farmers and para-veterinarians actively participated in the interactive session and clarified their doubts.
