Terms it as 'political gimmickry' Dimapur, August 14 (EMN): The Advisor PHE and the chairman of DAN Noke Wangnao has censured the action and intention of NPF spokesman Achumbemo Kikon, an advocate and the counsel for the case filed against Neiphiu Rio, for filing the case pertaining to the NPF temporary office in the faraway district of Mon. "Whereas, I do not undermine the wisdom of Civil Judge (Senior) Mon Division on the interim order restraining the NPF Interim president from using name of NPF, Symbols and flags and opening of any office using NPF name, it is quite an irony and absolute absurdity on the part of the learned advocate and the so called spokesman ft the NPF party Mr. Achumbemo Kikon to have travelled to Mon, which is the most remote district of the state, and filed a case against the Interim President of the NPF, "stated the press release from the Advisor. He further added that the counsel who resides in Kohima, and he is well aware that Kohima is the state capital where all the" higher judiciary systems are in place", and his grievances can be lodged for redressal at Kohima only. It is very clear that the act of Mr Achumbemo of going to Mon and obtaining an interim order from the Civil Judge Mon Division is nothing but just to "confuse" the common people with all "political gimmickry". He also stated that, by doing so, Achumbemo Kikon has exposed his "ignorance on litigation and has demeaned the judiciary mechanism in the state capital". "How can a learned advocate travel to Mon for redressing his grievances, while the case pertains to Bayavü Hill Colony, Kohima and the case be conveniently taken up in Kohima High Court or Magistrate Court?" he questioned. He stated that it is a sheer mockery and need to be condemned by right thinking citizens. "Mr.Acnumbemo Kikon may think that by obtaining Interim Order from Mon Civil Judge he had achieved his litigation fits, but I must say that his desperate act was totally unprecedented and it will go down in the anal of the Naga political history as an advocate acting so ignorantly to his profession in a desperate attempt to save himself from sinking by trying to confuse the people with political gimmickry," he further added.
