‘No work no pay’ to be implemented strictly— Chief Secretary

Dimapur, May 25 (EMN): Chief Secretary of Nagaland J Alam on Wednesday stated that attendance should be monitored in all government offices and ‘no work no pay’ should be implemented strictly.

Alam also stated that the biometric system of attendance would resume in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat with regular functioning of government offices in the state.

The chief secretary was addressing the AHoDs and HoDs meeting at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima on Wednesday.

The chief secretary also informed that the Prime Minister of India would be interacting nationwide with beneficiaries of government schemes as part of the AzadiKaAmritMahotsav on May 31 and directed all concerned departments to prepare for the occasion. He also added that the state-level programme will be held in Kohima while all districts will participate in their respective headquarters.

The chief secretary also directed all departments to submit the names of nodal officer for advertisement related matters to the department of Information and Public Relations. He also instructed all departments who have pending advertisement bills to clear them at the earliest, according to an update from DIPR.

The chief secretary also reminded the AHoDs and HoDs to take care of court cases to avoid contempt of court. The meeting reviewed the agenda of the last meeting minutes. The department of Industries and Commerce made a power point presentation on “ease of doing business”. The department stated that the Nagaland single window system is being developed for conducting business with government offices.

Alam informed that the first advertisement of NSSB will be out soon and instructed all concerned departments to submit their requisition post at the earliest.

The department of IT&C gave an update on the departmental website. It was also informed in the meeting that the department of IT&C will be conducting training on website updation, social media and state portal on June 7  at the Directorate of IT&C from 11 am and all departments have been requested to nominate their respective IT Nodal Officer to attend the training.
