No trains cancelled states NF railway
Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): It is informed in a press statement by NF railway that there will be no cancellation of trains. There had been reports in a section of media regarding cancellation of more than 45 trains which has created confusions among travelling public. N.F Railway authorities categorically state that it has not cancelled any train. In fact, railway engineers and workers are working relentlessly to remove all bottlenecks to normalize train services.
It further stated that, for the benefit of the public, N.F Railway authority would like to clarify the issue and set to rest all speculations. Unprecedented flood had caused heavy damage to bridges and tracks in Bihar & West Bengal in first week of August. As a result, rail communication to Kolkata, Delhi and South India were disrupted. More than 80 mail/express or passenger trains had to be cancelled at that time.
This extension of the cancellation has been wrongly interpreted as new cancellation. We would like to reiterate here that there has been no fresh cancellation of trains. We are restoring all trains in phases and all other trains would be restored as soon as repair works of bridges & tracks are completed, it added.
