Kohima, July 16 (EMN): The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has announced that there will be no zonal taxi services between Dimapur and Kohima on July 17 because of the alleged murder of an ANTA zonal taxi driver, Vijay of Dimapur. ANTA president Viba Solo, while informing this, appealed to the general public to bear with the inconvenience and also condemn 'such brutality and inhuman act'. ANTA also appealed to the law enforcers to investigate deeper into the case and bring the culprit(s) to book at the earliest. In a separate statement the Dimapur unit of ANTA announced a 12-hour lightning bandh (from 6 am to 6pm) “in Dimapur and Kohima to protest the brutal killing of one of its bonafide member whose body was recovered by police at Khovanullah on Sunday” According to the statement, ‘some identified miscreants hired a taxi (NL-01-T-8479) driven by one Vijay from Dimapur to Kohima.
