Dimapur, Oct. 28 (EMN): Hello Games announced today that No Man’s Sky with the ‘Next Generation’ update is coming to the next-gen consoles Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on November 10th and November 12th. This means that next-gen console owners will be able to play the game on the day these new consoles launch.
According to Hello Games, No Man's Sky will be a free upgrade on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S consoles for all current players. With the new update, Hello Games is promising “bigger bases, lusher planets, more players, faster warp speeds.”
Additionally, Hello Games announced that there is a new 32-player multiplayer mode, where players can fight, build, and survive together. All of this will be supported by cross-play, between both next-gen consoles and current-gen platforms.
No Man’s Sky: Next Generation will also have support for 4K resolution and 60fps on next-gen consoles. According to Hello Games, “Players with 4K compatible TVs can enjoy the universe in ultra-high resolutions with smoother performance. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners can experience a smooth 60fps at 4K resolutions, and Xbox Series S owners can customise their experience with a choice between high-quality native resolution at 30fps or high performance at 60fps modes.”
Hello Games also promises significantly reduced load times for No Man's Sky on next-gen consoles with the new update. According to Hello Games, “On all next-generation hardware, use your Hyperdrive or the ancient Portal network to warp between systems more rapidly than ever, with warp speeds up to ten times faster than on current-generation consoles. Embark on a new adventure or continue an existing journey with incredible load times.”

The new ‘Next Generation’ update also brings new features exclusive to the PS5 like haptic controls on the DualSense controller, support for PS VR and updated audio using the PS5 Tempest 3D AudioTech.
No Man’s Sky: Next Generation update will come with four years worth of update since the game was first released in 2016. The update includes this year’s massive ‘Origins” update and last year’s ‘Beyond’ update to name a few.
No Man’s Sky had a dismal reception when it was first released with players and critics alike bashing the game for being too repetitive, monotonous and not to mention extremely ‘buggy’. Since then, the game has slowly grown from strength to strength with Hello Games continuing to support the game with new updates. It seems No Man’s Sky has finally redeemed itself and the future looks bright for new players to experience the No Man’s Sky universe.
