No-fly zone declared over Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Medziphema and Niuland for Independence Day

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police have imposed temporary restrictions on drone operations in parts of Dimapur Commissionerate jurisdiction on August 15, in view of the Independence Day celebrations.

In an order issued on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Aotula T Imchen, demarcated a two-kilometre radius around four key locations as “Red Zones” (No Fly Zones) from 2 am to 6 pm on August 15.

The restricted areas include: Dimapur DDSC Stadium, Chümoukedima Samaguting Stadium, Medziphema Public Ground, and Niuland Public Ground.

“No person shall operate a drone/Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) in the Red Zone without prior permission of the competent authority,” the order stated.
