No felicitation programme for toppers—NBSE

Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): Chairperson of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Asano Sekhose informed that the felicitation function for the rank holders of HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2020 would not be held this year.

She, however, informed that necessary arrangements would be made to transfer the cash awards to the bank accounts of the four toppers and achievers in MILs and skill education subjects.

Meanwhile, Nagaland Governor RN Ravi congratulated the toppers, rank holders and achievers of the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2020 conducted by the NBSE, a DIPR report stated.

The governor announced an award of INR 20,000, INR 15,000, INR 10,000 for the top three meritorious students from government schools in HSLC along with certificate.

The governor also announced a cash award of INR 20,000, IRN 15,000, and INR 10,000 along with a certificate to the top three meritorious students from government higher secondary schools in all three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce.

Besides, the governor has announced a cash award of INR 20,000, INR 15,000 and INR 10,000 each to toppers of HSLC and HSSLC (all three streams) for students who are indigenous inhabitants belonging to Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire and appearing examinations from the centres of these four districts.

Further, it was informed that the Governor’s Award for achievers in MILs and skill education subjects in HSLC and HSSLC examinations from the existing amount of INR 3000 has been enhanced to INR 5000 from this year onwards.
