No entry of ‘non locals’ to Mon district without valid documents, says Konyak Students’ Union

DIMAPUR — The Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has strongly opposed the entry of “non locals” to Mon district without valid documents and permission from the concerned authority.

In a directive issued on Saturday, the student body requested the public to co-operate with the union by informing them if new visitors are seen in their localities.

It came a few days after the Konyak Union (KU) announced that tourists and visitors should obtain a clearance certificate from its office in Mon, as well as get a guide from the union before travelling to remote and border villages of the district.

This measure, it said, is for the security and safety of the visitors besides avoiding any misgivings or wrong reports about the region.
