Apropos to the news item Quo Vadis Technical Education Department. The gamut and hallabulla of the entire and quite recent exercise of nomination of individual students to various professional courses and the aftermath seems to have no end till date. Accusations and counter accusations, gatherings and meetings, consultations, hyped-up gossips, bad-mouthing, sit-in demonstrations et al, would make a  conspiring and thrilling movie script, but regretfully render the hapless director, sans entrance examinations and so on, a definite candidate, for the loony bin.The entire episode has reached its zenith and it is not the students to blame. It was the responsibility of the govt. and the concerned department to follow and adhere to the orders passed and act in accordance. The govt. Orders passed are all so messed up, so much that a candidate for these exams would need to seek legal aid to understand and digest them. It’s a wonder what politicians and bureaucrats eat and pass orders in hap-hazard fashion that would make commoners puke. Its ridiculous for orders to be passed and not implemented in letter and spirit, notably vis-a-vis the order dated the 23rd july 2014, whereby candidate serial No. 185 and Roll No. 41199 sat for the NSPMT. Herein, one may ask as to, on whose behest and directive was this candidate made to appear for this exam, thereby violating all norms laid down by the government, even after having accepted nomination to BSc Horticulture? Multiple questions arise with no enlightening answers following, and if any answers or excuses surface, these are too murky. Therefore, in the interest of all and students in particular, the concerned department ought to have definite clear cut policies, pertaining to selection procedures for further studies. The recent and rather diabolic incidents should not occur hence, for a better morrow to the future generation.
