NNC/FGN condemns AR’s raid

Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): NNC/FGN has strongly condemned the activities of 22 Assam Rifles in raiding the residence of its ‘C-in-C’ of Naga army, ‘Gen.’ TM Rhakho located at Hebron-I colony in Phek town on July 26. Terming the incident ‘disturbing,’ NNC/FGN stated that the continued raids by the Assam Rifles at the residences of Naga national workers was in contravention to the spirit of ceasefire and political dialogue. According to a press release issued by FGN rali wali, personnel of 22 Assam Rifles surrounded the house of Gen. TM Rhkho and entered uninvited. It added that the incident had created fear psychosis among the people in the locality. Stating that ‘brazen display of bravado is not appreciated,’ NNC/FGN questioned the 22 Assam Rifles whether they are aware of the ongoing negotiations between the NNPGs and GOI in New Delhi. It asked who ordered the raid at the peaceful time and advised Assam Rifles not to create situations. NNC/FGN also that it was unwise on the part of the Assam Rifles as it could further builds mistrust and erodes confidence of the people.
