NNC (PB) decries Myanmar military’s atrocity
Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): Naga National Council, Parent Body, has strongly condemned the atrocities unleashed by Myanmar army by attacking NSCN (K) in Naga region during peace time, while the Indian army had sealed the border by imposing curfew.
Stating that Naga people are maintaining absolute peace for the last two-three years, NNC (PB) information and publicity wing said creating such situation by both the armies against the people was uncalled for. It has expressed concern at the innocent public, who are targeted and their entire properties were burned, livestock killed and their foodstuff/ granaries destroyed.
It added that innocent public were made to suffer immensely because of the fight in the area especially the old and infirmed, women and children who had to run to different places in the jungle. Stating that summer time is worst climatic condition in the area, it expressed apprehension that many might die due to starvation and other diseases.
NNC (PB) has appealed to the Naga people as a whole to pray for God’s intervention for protection and to restore peace in the Naga area.
