The resolution to this effect was taken during its joint meeting with the central authorities of NNC/FGN held on April 14 in Dimapur. NNC/FGN Sumi region expressed concern as there was no formal accord/ agreement even after a lapse of more three years of concluding the negotiation. It, therefore, appealed to the negotiating parties to expedite for an honourable and acceptable solution at the earliest.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]A joint press release issued by regional president, Vikato Zhimo, and midan peyu, Khutovi Awomi, stated that the joint meeting has put on record its appreciation to the immense contributions and sacrifices by the Sumi community towards the Naga cause through its participation in the NNC/FGN right from its inception till date.
It stated that the joint meeting had discussed issues of national importance faced by the region in particular and the Naga nation in general. The members further appealed to the Sumi community to continue its unflinching support to the NNC/FGN under the leadership of its kedahge, Brig. (Retd) S Singnya and the NNC president, Senka Ao.
