NNC/FGN condole demise of Kedallo

DIMAPUR — Naga Nation Council (NNC) and Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) have condoled the demise of its Kedallo (vice president), I Temjen Longkumer from Longkhum village under Ao region, who passed away on January 23 in Kohima.

A press release issued by its president, Adinno Phizo, stated that he joined the Naga Nation Council (NNC) in 1954 and became the Naga Youth Information Officer in 1955. She has described him as an elderly dedicated and committed national worker holding various capacities sacrificing his life wholeheartedly for the Naga nation till his last breath.

Adinno stated that his death is a great loss for the nation and Ao community in particular and added that his services rendered to the Naga nation would always remains in the history of the Nagas. She further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace of the departed soul.

Meanwhile, the FGN Kedahge, Gen. (retired) Viyalie Metha, too has condoled the demise of Temjenba Longkumer.

Metha stated that Temjenba was elected as the Kedallo of FGN in 2010 and served till his last breath. He was 89 and a recipient of ‘Nagaland Star,’ the highest award of the Naga nation.

Metha has described him as a dedicated leader and a true patriot, who gave his whole life for the nation. Lamenting that his demise was a great loss for the nation, Metha stated that his patriotic deeds and sacrificial services rendered to the nation would always remain in the annals of the Naga nation.

He further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace of the departed soul.
