Dimapur, Nov. 19 (EMN): NN Nagi School in Dimapur conducted its first-ever school week during November 14-17 besides celebrating Children’s Day with the students with a sporting event and a trip to a local orphanage, Gilgal Orphanage and School.
‘The day being a special day for the children of the country, the school organized a field trip to Gilgal Orphanage and School, where the students and faculty members of NN Nagi School interacted with the orphans and gave gifts to the orphanage,’ a press release from the school informed on Monday.
The school’s first ever annual sports event was held during November 15-16. Students from preschool to level-4 participated in various sporting disciplines such as long jump, high jump, relay race, and balloon race, among others, the updates stated.

“The school is committed to sports and in the near future will be providing facilities such as multipurpose indoor hall for badminton, basketball, lawn tennis courts and a FIFA standard size football ground with a 400mtr athletic track surrounding it,” the press release stated.
The institution said it also acknowledges the importance of culture and identity. “To show our rich and vibrant culture,” NN Nagi School organized also a ‘cultural day’ on November 17, the updates stated.
“Students showcased their own traditional costumes and brought their own traditional cuisine for tiffin. A short speech on the cultural identity and its importance was given Mrs. Kejaseno Nakhro supervisor of level-4 after which the students shared and enjoyed their tiffin with the other students,” the press release added.
