Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Chotisuh Sazo today graced the 48th general session- cum- 25th freshers meet of Losami Students’ Union (LSU) at Losami village in Phek district.Speaking on the occasion, Sazo stressed on the need to develop work culture, honesty, hard working and the spirit of oneness and brotherhood and shun violence.
Maintaining that hard working, honesty, sincerity and trustworthiness are certain characteristics which make us unique, Sazo stressed on the need to preserve our culture and promote traditional heritage.
He also stated that quality education is the need of the hour today.
Advising the students to be ready with the best education and prepare themselves for the future, he said “As such the most important of all is to work hard and equip yourself with the latest technologies and methods.”
Asserting that earning a degree alone is not enough, he urged upon the students to expand their horizons and visions and translate them into action.
Touching on unemployment problem, he said if one is not lazy to do anything there should not be any unemployment problem.
Earlier, LSU president Hiweku Mebou in his presidential address said that we are living in the world where only the fittest will survive.
Neisetsü Kepfoh, ex-pastor Losami Baptist Church also shared greetings while golden jubilee planning convenor Zechete Mekrisuh sought the help of Chotisuh Sazo for construction of LSU office building- cum- library.
Neiko Akami, additional district & session judge, Zunheboto acted as introductory speaker while Zechete Mekrisuh, VDB Secretary Losami graced the valedictory function as guest of honour.
The programme was chaired Neiwulo Lasuh while Kesowe Mekrisuh, pastor Losami Baptist Church pronounced invocation prayer and a word of blessings by Velhoupe-u Kepfoh.
