NLA Speaker attends CPA India region conference

Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Sharingain Longkumer attended the 9th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India region conference in Udaipur, Rajasthan

DIMAPUR — Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Sharingain Longkumer, along with the secretary-in-charge of NLA, Khruohituonuo Rio, attended the 9th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India region conference from August 20 to the 23rd in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

An update from the NLA Secretariat stated that the inaugural address was delivered by the Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla.

It added that speeches were also delivered by the MP and chairperson of the CPA headquarters, London; Governor of Rajasthan; Chief Minister of Rajasthan; Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Leader of Opposition of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha.

It stated that Longkumer also spoke on “How to make public representatives more effective/ efficient in encouraging good governance through digital empowerment.”

The valedictory address was delivered by the vice president of India.
