NLA passes Lokayukta, Nursing Council Bill

Kohima, Feb. 23 (EMN): The Nagaland Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was passed on Saturday. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who is also the minister-in-charge of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, moved the bill.
The Act will extend to the whole state of Nagaland and applies to the “public servants” posted outside Nagaland in connection with affairs of the state. The Act consists of 36 sections with clauses and sub clauses.
Also, the Nagaland Nursing Council Bill was passed on Saturday. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom moved the bill. The Act will give provision for the establishment of nursing education in the state.
