NLA introduce ‘Establishment of Private University Bill 2024’

KOHIMA — The 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Tuesday introduced new bills including “The Establishment of Private University Bill, 2024” among others. 

Minister of Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, introduced “The Establishment of Private University Bill, 2024” on the second day of the ongoing fourth session of 14th NLA

Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, also moved the resolution to repeal “The Public Debt Act, 1994” and the amendment of “Government Securities Act, 2006.”

Rio also introduced “The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Eight Amendment) Bill, 2023.

Meanwhile, minister of Parliamentary Affair and Power, KG Kenye, moved and introduced “The Nagaland Salaries, Allowance and other facilities of the Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Chief Minister/ Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Deputy Speaker and other Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and Pension for Ex-Members (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2024”.

The bills introduced to the house on Tuesday will be taken for adoption on Thursday.
