DIMAPUR — The monthly Niuland District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on Wednesday at DC’s conference hall in Niuland, chaired by Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of DPDB Niuland, Sara S Jamir.
During the meeting, the house reviewed the enrollment status of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) from various departments in the district and found that nearly 100% was achieved in every department, according to a DIPR report.
The SDO and District Sports Council in-charge presented the status of the newly completed Multi-Discipline Sports Stadium in Niuland, while the Public Health and Engineering department presented its departmental activities.
While acknowledging the PHE department’s work in the district, the DC inquired whether the concerned officers were efficiently implementing borewell installations in villages. The DC also urged the department to organise public awareness camps for adopting community borewells/water reservoirs.
