Niuland DPDB approves adoption of government schools
DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Niuland District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held at the DC’s conference hall on Monday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, S Athsangla chaired the meeting and reviewed the minutes of the last meeting, an official bulleting stated.
After thorough deliberation and in consultation with the sub-divisional education officer and head masters of the high schools in the district, it was decided that the administrative officers will adopt government high schools to improve the overall performance of the schools.
The house also deliberated on various agendas and approved the proposal for posting of State Disaster Response Force (SDRP) personnel for Niuland district. Registration and renewal of the societies were also deliberated and it was decided that thorough scrutiny will be done and registration of non-performing societies will not be renewed.

The board also deliberated on the urgent posting of department officers and construction of office building of various departments was forwarded to the concerned departments for approval.
Officers from the Social Welfare department gave a power point presentation on their activities in the district.
