Nitozü village in Niuland district celebrates its golden jubilee.

DIMAPUR — Minister of PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, attended the golden jubilee celebrations of Nitozü village and its Baptist church, under Aghunaqa Circle, Niuland district.
The minister paid respects to the pioneers, led by late Nitozü, saying Niuland district was born out of their sacrifices, and urged the gathering to remember their roots, an update stated.
Zhimomi pointed out that golden jubilee should not be a mere celebration but a celebration of several developmental aspects including employment and self-reliance. Mentioning that all efforts are being undertaken to establish an EAC outpost in Aghunaqa, he also mentioned that three police outposts have already been approved by the government.

Acknowledging that Aghunaqa Area/Circle has its own share of problems owing to sharing of border with neighbouring Assam vis-à-vis Disputed Area Belt, the minister emphasised that no stone is left unturned to bring about tangible development and lasting solution to the area.
Zhimomi urged the youth to face reality, emphasising that there's no shortcut to success and one must work harder than ever to reach the top.
On the occasion, the minister also unveiled the golden jubilee monolith. Zhimomi was accompanied by DC Niuland, DCP Niuland, EAC Aghunaqa, Western Sümi Kükami Hoho, Western Sümi frontal organisations and WSBAK executive secretary Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema.
