DIMAPUR — Nationalist Institute of Innovation & Technology (NITI), Dimapur Centre, conducted a free Skill Enhancement & Employability Development (SEED) training for the second time in the month of March, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
More than 60 students benefited by the hands-on training on MS Office, Tally & Personality Development for Employability conducted by NITI at its centre located at Marwari Patti, the institute informed in an update.
“It may be noted that more than one lakh unemployed youth are here in Nagaland, most of whom need to learn the practical aspects of the learning for proper application in any organisation, besides building proper resume & enhancing soft skills for employability,” it stated.
The centre also informed that it is offering upto 50% scholarships to the meritorious students who have appeared class X & XII exams till April 15.
“As such, faculties of NITI center have begun in a small way to contribute towards the eradication of the menace of unemployment from Nagaland,” NITI said.
Majority of the trainees were from Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts. Head of Centre, software engineer Rishav Sethi, gave away participation certificates to all the participants.
