Ninth session of 13th NLA session from today

Kohima, Nov. 24 (EMN): The ninth session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) session will commence today and is scheduled to be held for two days, that is November 25 and 26.
This will be the first all-party NLA session in the 13th house following the merger of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) party with the erstwhile People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA)-led government consisting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and Independent for the formation of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Government, formally.
A notification issued by the Assembly Secretariat on November 24 had stated that TR Zeliang would be designated as the NPF Legislature party Leader in the Assembly and added that he will hold the status and rank of a Cabinet Minister.
Meanwhile, the Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly during its sitting held on November 16 2021 at the Committee Room under the Chairmanship of Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly NLA), Sharingain Longkumer, finalised the provisional programme for the ninth session of the 13th Assembly. The list of business that would be taken up during the session are obituary references; questions; reporting on assent to bills; laying of report; laying of the select committee report on the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Sarfaesi Act, 2002; presentation of assembly committee reports; introduction of government resolution; statement to be made on government resolution; consideration and adoption of government resolution among others.
