DIMAPUR — Nieketuno Sechü was crowned Miss Chümoukedima 2023 during an event held at the Tetso college Amphitheatre hall in Chümoukedima.
An update issued on Oct. 9 informed that the beauty pageant, supported by Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN), was jointly organised by Aghatos Society and Meraki Entertainment Nagaland (MEN).
The winner of this year’s Miss Chümoukedima, who also won the Best Ethnic subtitle, walked away with a total prize of INR 70,000.
Choilung Phom and Ruth Chawang bagged 1st runner-up and second runner-up and were awarded with INR 50,000 and INR 30,000 respectively. Phom also won Miss Multimedia and Miss Queen of Hearts subtitles while Chawang bagged the Best Walk subtitle.
The hampers for all the winners were sponsored by Lisu Care Pure and Natural, Wewe collection, Gutouch, Humtsoe Craft and Zenki organic.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The evening gown wear was designed and fully sponsored by IWSN training institute and Party casual designer wear by Mhayani Design.
This year, the title was sponsored by a coaching institute, Achievers Academy.
A total of 14 contestants vied for the title and went through three rounds— modern ethnic wear round, casual round and evening gown round.
Lovi Awomi, VLCC Femina Miss India Nagaland, groomed, mentored and choreographed the event, with Ralan Patton as the contestant manager.
The show was directed by Thejakhrienuo Nakhro and Nyam as the asst. show director.
The event was hosted by Imnasenla Rachel while KL Pamei performed as a guest artiste.
The show also witnessed performances of artistes including Herman’s band Noklak, Euli Kinimi, Bamile Pame, and Ks dance and Fitness Studio.
