NHIDCL marked its 11th inception day in Meluri with a youth football tournament where GHSS Meluri defeated Christian Mission Higher Secondary School 5-0.

DIMAPUR — In commemoration of the 11th inception day of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), a youth football match was organised on August 30 at the Local Ground, Meluri.
Deputy Commissioner of Meluri K Mhathung Tsanglao attended the occasion as the special guest, stated a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, he expressed his appreciation to NHIDCL for bringing road connectivity development to the interior parts of the country, including Meluri district.
The participating teams included Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, Meluri; S Pethury School, Meluri; St. Xavier Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Meluri; and Government Higher Secondary School, Meluri.

The final match was played between GHSS Meluri and Christian Mission Higher Secondary School.
GHSS Meluri emerged victorious with a scoreline of 5-0 and walked away with a trophy and cash prize of INR 10,000, the runners-up with INR 5,000, and the participants with INR 3,000 each.
Akoru Thupitor from GHSS Meluri was awarded the best player of the tournament.
