Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): ‘Methods used in Ayush be it Ayurveda, homeopathy, Unani, naturopathy, Siddha’ don’t cause harm to the human body, a nongovernmental organisation has asserted.
Imlikokba Ozukum, said to be the zone program manager of the state’s unit of Athrav Welfare Society “informed media that, all of the methods used in Ayush be it Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, Siddha, they don’t cause any harm to human body.”
An Uttar Pradesh-based nongovernmental organisation called Athrav Welfare Society conducted a training programme on Ayush, in Wokha. The organisers issued a press release on Sunday informing about the event.
Dr. R Zuboni Ezong, medical officer of Ayush at the District Hospital of Wokha was the special guest of the programme, the press release stated.
Addressing the event, Ezong was stated to have asserted that “Ayush medicine has no any adverse effect” and that it is required for prevention of “epidemic diseases to keep one immune system strong.”
The press release also mentioned a member of the Athrav Welfare Society claiming ‘all of the methods used in Ayush don’t cause any harm.’

‘Looking at the benefits of Ayush therapies the government of India has provided the responsibility for the propagation of all the therapies of Ayush in the entire country to Athrav Welfare Society,’ the press release quoted him as having said.
According to the press release, the ministry of Ayush has nominated Athrav Welfare Soceity “for creation of awareness and distribution of medicines regarding dengue, malaria, Chikungunya, swine flu and Japanese Encephalitis across country.”
‘The organization was approved by the CCRH department as well. The nominated members/workers of the organization are committed to reach out each and every district, block, and village level and they will be extending their services to each and every individual in our district,’ the press release stated.
‘Not only they are defending the common people from these life threatening calamities, they have created huge job opportunity in our state. The organization also associated with many other government projects and several private projects like ecommerce, agriculture and education etc,’ the organisation claimed.
