NFR to run parcel train from Guwahati to Agartala on April 11
Dimapur, April 7 (EMN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will be operating one parcel express train as per fixed time table timings on Saturday, April 11 in order to ensure transportation of essential goods in small quantity in the wake of Covid-19 to parts of Assam and Tripura. An update from the chief public relations officer of NFR on Tuesday, informed that the train will start from New Guwahati /Guwahati for Agartala with stoppages at Hojai, Lumding Jn, New Haflong, Badarpur Jn,Dharmanagar and Kumarghat during its journey.
The parcel express train will start from Guwahati at 4:15am on April 11 and will arrive Lumding at 9am and leave at 9:15am. It will arrive Badarpur at 2:30pm and leave at 2:45pm and will arrive Agartala at 9:15 pm the same day. The planned duration of stoppage in all these stations will be about 15 minutes for loading and unloading of parcel packages.
Parcel booking for this train will remain open from 10am of April 9 to 6pm of April 10 for all interested parties. Booking of materials can be done for any of enroute stoppages.

It may be mentioned here that, Indian Railways has made railway parcel vans available for quick mass transportation across the nation for the needy E-Commerce companies and other customers including state governments.
Special parcel trains are also being run on New Delhi-Guwahati, Moga-Changsari, Kalyan-Guwahati and Shalimar- New Guwahati routes.
