Dimapur, Aug. 20 (EMN): The Northeast Frontier Railway, despite various challenges faced due to natural calamities, has marked impressive growth in parcel earning.
An update from NFR issued on Aug. 20 informed that the earnings from parcel traffic have gone up by 75.82% during January to July when compared to the same period of the previous year.
NFR has earned INR 40 crore parcel revenue during January to July as against INR 22.75 crore during corresponding period of the previous year.
Parcel Management System are said to be commissioned at 18 locations under NFR. This computerised parcel or luggage booking system with enhanced user-friendly features enables businessmen and traders transporting their merchandise to destinations in a fast, cheap and reliable manner.
