NFR continues pace of growth in freight loading

DIMAPUR — The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) which has been constantly progressing in freight loading, has loaded 0.864 million tonnes (MT) during the month of September.

An update from the NFR issued on Oct. 11 informed that a total of 5.008 MT was loaded from April to September this financial year. During the last financial year, 11.98 MT of freight was loaded.

During the month of September, food grain loading increased by 191.9 % and loading of few other commodities also increased by a good margin in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year.

NFR is said to be working dedicatedly round the clock to serve its customer and ensure essential commodities reach end users in time. The increase in freight loading year after year signifies the economic activities of the region.
