NFR arranges special shuttle trains for passengers

Dimapur, July 4 (EMN): In view of the three-day mega block between Habaipur and Lumding stations from July 7 to 9th in connection with work of doubling of track between Guwahati and Lumding, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has planned to divert a number of trains running between Guwahati and Dibrugarh via north bank of Brahmaputra (Rangapara, North Lakhimpur) with 20 minutes stoppage at Rangiya.

The trains to be diverted are15959 Howrah – Dibrugarh Kamrup — Express leaving Howrah from July 6 to 8th; 15910 Lalgarh Junction – Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Expleaving Lalgarh from July 4 to 6th; 12424 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express leaving New Delhi from July 6 to 8th; 14056 Delhi – Dibrugarh Brahmaputra Mail leaving Delhi from July 5 to 7th; 15929 Tambaram – Dibrugarh Exp. leaving Tambaram on July 4th; 15934 Amritsar – Dibrugarh Exp. Leaving Amritsar on July 5; 20506 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express leaving New Delhi on July 7; 15905 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express Leaving Kanyakumari on July 4.

NFR Chief Public Relations Officer, Pranav Jyoti Sharma in a press release on Thursday informed that trains running between Dibrugarh to Guwahati via Mariani and Lumding will run via North Lakhimpur – Rangapara – Rangiya with 20 m stoppage at Rangiya. Details of trains are: 15960 Dibrugarh – Howrah Kamrup Express Leaving Dibrugarh from July 6 to 8; 15909 Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Jn Avadh Assam Express Leaving Dibrugarh from July 7 to 9; 12423 Dibrugarh Town-New Delhi Rajdhani Express Leaving Dbrugarh from July 6 to 8; 14055 Dibrugarh – Delhi Brahmaputra Mail leaving Dibrugarh from July 6 to 8; 15930 Dibrugarh – Tambaram Exp leaving Dibrugarh on July 7; 20505 Dibrugarh Town-New Delhi Rajdhani Express Leaving Dibrugarh on July 8.

Passengers board trains towards New Delhi, Howrah, Tambaram from enroute stoppages between Dibrugarh and Guwahati are asked to board trains at Rangiya.

Similarly, passenger originating from New Delhi, Howrah, Amritsar, Kanyakumari, Tambaram willing to get down at enroute stoppages in between Guwahati and Dibrugarh will have get down at Rangiya.

Taking into consideration of the possible problems that might be encountered by passenger as a result of the diversions, Sharma said the NFR has arranged shuttle trains for the between Guwahati and Rangiya from July 6 to 9th with 5 mts stoppage at Kamakhya.

These shuttles will connect various diverted trains. In case of late arrival of diverted trains, the shuttle train will wait for passengers.

The release further informed that there will be three shuttle trains from Guwahati and three from Rangiya — Shuttle No 05621 will depart from Guwahati at 6 am to provide connection to passengers of 12423 Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and 15960 Dibrugarh – Howrah Kamrup Express; Shuttle No 05623 will depart from Guwahatiat at 11 am to provide connection to passengers of 14055 Dibrugarh-Delhi Brahmaputra Mail and 15930 Dibrugrah-Tambaram Express; Shuttle No 05625 will depart from Guwahati at 8:45 pm to provide connection to passengers of 15909 Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Avadh Assam Express and 15910 Lalgarh-Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express; Shuttle No 05626 will depart from Rangiya at 3:30 am to provide connection to passengers of 15910 Lalgarh-Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express and 15929 Tambaram – Dibrugarh Express; Shuttle No 05624 will depart from Rangiya at 4: 15 pm to provide connection to passengers of 14056 Delhi – Dibrugarh Brahmaputra Mail , 15959 Howrah – Dibrugarh Kamrup Express and 15934 Amritsar – Dibrugarh Vivek Express; Shuttle No 05622 will depart from Rangiya at 7 pm to provide connection to passengers of 12424 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express and 20506 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express 15905 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express.

Help desks will be set up at Rangiya and Guwahati and arrangements for prompt refund of fare has also been made, the release added.
