Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has given time to the government of Nagaland till September 12 to respond positively to its plea of making the foothill road pliable while awaiting the mega project, failing which it warned of going ahead with the proposed indefinite agitation from September 13.

This was resolved at a consultative meeting of the NFHRCC with Dimapur-based tribal hohos, student bodies, youth organisations and CNSA on Friday to discuss the matter after the state government appealed to hold back the proposed agitation and talk for a positive outcome.

The house unanimously resolved to hold a consultative meeting comprising the foothills road tribal organisations, student bodies and youth organisations at 3 pm on September 7 at NFHRCC base office, Kher Mahal, Dimapur to discuss the next course of action based on the response of the government.

The NFHRCC had earlier served a 30-day ultimatum to the government in connection with foothill road following a meeting on August 7 before the government requested to hold it back.
