Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), as part of its annual programmes and activities, is organising a programme called “Community Cultural Programme – A Cultural Series” at Shilpgram Complex, Panjabari, Guwahati on June 11 at 3:30 pm.
The programme is an evening of folk songs and dance performances including vanishing arts of different communities in Northeast, a press statement informed.
It is worth mentioning that NEZCC is one of the seven Zonal Cultural Centres under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, which was established in the year 1986 with its headquarters at Dimapur, Nagaland.
During the COVID pandemic from 2020-2022, NEZCC organised a series of virtual community cultural programmes to help performing arts who were affected by the pandemic at Shilpgram (crafts village) in Panjabari, Guwahati. The village was established in 2006 as an extension of NEZCC activities.
