Markets shut, skies restricted in Dimapur for Jan. 26
DIMAPUR — The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, has informed that all markets and shops in Dimapur district will remain closed till 12:00 noon on January 26 in view of Republic Day celebrations. Meanwhile, Aotula T Imchen, commissioner of police, Dimapur, has temporarily declared the area within a radius of two kilometres at three locations as “Red Zone” (No Fly Zone) from 2 am to 6 pm on January 26. The order stated that no person shall operate a drone/remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) in the Red Zone without prior permission of the competent authority. The locations and coordinates are Dimapur DDSC Stadium (25°54’54”N 93°43’41”E), Chümoukedima Samaguting Stadium (25°48’39”N 93°45’40”E), and Niuland Public Ground (25°56’09”N 93°57’42”E). The order mentioned that as the notice cannot be served individually on all concerned, it is passed ex parte due to security exigency.
Power shutdown in Zunheboto district
DIMAPUR — The Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung, has informed that the stringing of the 132 kV Tuensang Dead End Tower at the 132/66/33 kV Aolijen Sub-Station is scheduled from January 22 to the 23rd. In this regard, there will be a total shutdown of power from 8 am to 4 pm on January 22 and 7 am to 4 am on January 23 to facilitate the execution of works for the commissioning of the New 132/33 kV GIS Tuensang Sub-Station under NERPSIP. The department appealed to the public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period. The affected areas under Zunheboto district include the 66 kV Zunheboto, 33 kV Akuloto, and 33 kV NU Lumami feeders.

Mass social work in Wokha on January 24
DIMAPUR — In preparation for the upcoming 77th Republic Day celebration, the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, announced that mass social work will be conducted across Wokha town on January 24, beginning at 7 am. All district heads of department and the general public of Wokha town have been requested to participate and organise social work activities within their respective jurisdictions. As part of the directive, district heads of department are instructed to share photographs of the progress in the official WhatsApp group "Wokha Government Servants" and to submit attendance records to the DC’s office.
SCERT declares N-TET 2025 results
DIMAPUR — The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Nagaland, notified candidates who appeared in the Nagaland-Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 (N-TET) that the results for Paper I and Paper II have been uploaded to the SCERT website (scert.nagaland.gov.in). The candidates may visit the website for the result. Candidates may collect the N-TET 2025 pass certificate from the SCERT office from January 27 till February 4. The timing is 10 am to 3 pm at the SIEMAT building. Candidates need to bring their N-TET admit card to collect the pass certificate.
Coordination meeting held in Chiephobozou
DIMAPUR — In view of the upcoming Republic Day celebration, the Chiephobozou sub-divisional coordination meeting for work distribution was held at the Customary Court Hall, Chiephobozou town, on January 19. According to a DIPR report, chairing the meeting, Alemyapang Longchar, ADC Chiephobozou, assigned duties to various departments and requested all departments to coordinate and give their best for the celebration of Republic Day in the sub-division. He reminded all officers and staff to be present on the day without fail. He also requested the Department of Soil and Water Conservation to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.
