Noklak DPDB meeting on September 20
DIMAPUR — DC NoklakArikumba has informed all members of the Noklak District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) that the DPDB meeting for the month of September 2023 will be held on September 20 at the conference hall of DC Noklak at 11 and has asked all the members to attend the meeting.
Noklak DTF for Ayushman Bhavah constituted
DIMAPUR — DC Noklak, Arikumba, has notified that the Noklak District Task Force (DTF) for Ayushman Bhavah has been constituted. The chairman is DC Noklak, and the other members of the DTF include SP Noklak, CMO Noklak, MS Noklak, CDPO Noklak, BDO Noklak, and APRO Noklak.
ADC Tening informs on SHS
DIMAPUR — In a circular, ADC Tening, LemlilaSangtam, has informed all the schools, religious organisations, civil society organisations, and the nine wards of Tening town that there will be a fortnightly observation of the annual SwachhataPakhwada Hi Seva (SHS) between September 15 and October 2 as a prelude to the Swach Bharat Diwas on October 2. All stakeholders have been asked to cooperate and attend the event.
NSDMA informs
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that a coordination meeting has been scheduled for September 22 at 11 am at the secretariat conference hall, Civil Secretariat Kohima, to discuss the rollout of the Nagaland Disaster Risk Reduction Roadmap programme and also the 15% flexi-fund within the component of centrally sponsored schemes for activities related to disaster risk reduction. All the disaster management nodal officers of the concerned line departments have been requested to attend the meeting.
Training underway for DoE&S new recruits
DIMAPUR — The department of Economics and Statistics (DoE&S) is conducting a two-week induction training on office procedures, official statistics, and IT applications for newly recruited staff, between September 11 and 22, at the directorate conference hall. A total of 31 trainees are attending the training.
NSCN (Niki) clarifies
DIMAPUR — On the recent incidents and issues of taxation being reported in the media, Niki Sumi-led NSCN/GPRN has clarified that NSCN/GPRN has no up-to-date knowledge that any public undertakings of business for profit have been taken up by any organisation of Naga political parties as a whole. A press note from it said that ‘the lull of silence in the media on this matter/issue by Naga political parties has authenticated and cleared the confusion’ and that no Naga political party as an organisation is engaged in ownership of businesses for profit, but purely members in their individual capacity are involved in businesses. It further said that any member of the NSCN/GPRN found violating the Yehzabo will be punished as per the provisions laid down in the Yehzabo. The note said that NSCN/GPRN believes in the stance that, in spite of the usage of different nomenclatures, all Naga political parties stand to defend and protect rights for the greater good of the Nagas.
BJYM Nagaland organises blood donation camps
DIMAPUR — To mark the 73rd birth anniversary of PM Narendra Modi, as part of the BJP Nagaland ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ and as per the directive of the National BJYM, blood donation camps were organised by BJYM Nagaland on Monday under the leadership of its state president HoshetoAwomi in Dimapur, Kohima, and Mokokchung, which saw more than 100 donors turn up for the event, according to a press note by BJYM Nagaland.
Abu Metha holds meeting with officials of Japanese Embassy
DIMAPUR — Abu Metha, advisor to the chief minister and chairman of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland, held a consultative meeting with the officials of the Japanese Embassy and JICA at Kohima on Monday. An update mentioned that the meeting discussed various matters related to collaborations and partnerships in order to strengthen ties and achieve collective goals of enhancing livelihoods, conserving nature and biodiversity, etc. Metha highlighted during the meeting that the partnership between the Japanese and Naga people should strengthen bilateral ties, enhance people-to-people contact, and positively impact the livelihood of the people. He hoped for more partnerships in various sectors in the months and years ahead.
Swachhata League 2.0 launched in Mokokchung.
DIMAPUR — The Indian Swachhata League 2.0 in Mokokchung kicked off at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on Monday. It was attended by ward authorities and youth volunteers from all 18 wards. Delivering a speech on the occasion, the ADC and Administrator of Mokokchung Municipal Council, ChumlamoHumtsoe, asked the citizens to come together by putting their efforts into showcasing Mokokchung as one of the cleanest places not only in Nagaland but in the country as well. He asked the youth to be warriors in the fight against garbage and use their creative minds for good and productivity in society. He also led the Swachhata Pledge.
