MCAOT general meeting on October 14
MOKOKCHUNG — The Mokokchung Circle Ao Officers Telongjem (MCAOT), seasonal secretary, Temsuwati Ao, has informed that Mokokchung Circle Ao Officers (Class II and above) Telongjem general meeting will be held on October 14 from 10 am at Fazl Ali College conference hall. GPRN Unification terminates 3 members
DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN Unification camp, Khehoyi, has terminated the services of three members for “conduct of service detrimental to the government and for breach of party discipline.” The group in a press release informed that the terminated cadres are Joel Wotsa, leacy (UT) of Toluvi village; Jangni, rajupeyu, Arunachal Affairs and Hongkai, Khapur, Arunachal Affairs.
FGN issues ‘Prohibition ahza’
DIMAPUR — The acting ‘Kedahge’ of Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Namrikiu, has issued a ‘Prohibition ahza’ on peddling and consumption of prohibited drugs, supply and sale of IMFL in Nagaland and opening of shops on Sunday. “Violators and offenders of this prohibitory Ahza and warning by anybody shall invite and face legal penalties from the Federal Government of Nagaland,” the ahza stated.
DC Niuland informs on painting competition
DIMAPUR — In view of the International Day of Girl Child, and under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, Sara S Jamir, has informed that a painting competition will be held on October 11 at 11 am in the conference hall of DC Niuland. The theme of the painting competition is ‘Women empowerment,’ an official update stated. Following schools have been requested to send three girl participants for the competition: Reginald Hughes Shaw School, Shepherd High School, Modern High School, St Joseph School and Govt Higher Secondary School.
Kiphire treasury office notifies pensioners
KIPHIRE — The annual physical verification of pensioners drawing pensions from the Kiphire treasury office will be conducted from October 16 to the 21st. An update from treasury officer Vikiqhe Chishi stated that the verification exercise for 2023-2024, as per CTR 368, would be conducted during office hours. For pensioners in Kiphire, the verification would be done from October 16 to the 19th at Treasury Office, Kiphire, while the same would be conducted for pensioners from Pungro on October 20 and 21 at the ADC Office, Pungro.
Documents required for the verification include PPO book, renewed pensioner ID card and photo copy of Aadhaar card.
