Peren DPDB meeting on Feb. 6
DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) will take place on February 6 at 11 am at the DC’s conference hall, Peren. Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman DPDB Peren, TR Zeliang, has urged strict attendance of all DPDB members at the meeting. In a press release, District Planning Officer & Member Secretary, DPDB Peren, Danyi Domeh, requested all concerned members to attend the meeting positively.
ANKSU elects new team for 2026–2029
DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Kachari Students’ Union (ANKSU) conducted its election on January 10 electing a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2026–2029. The newly elected office bearers were sworn in during a meeting of the Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) held on January 31, where handing-over and taking-over ceremony was also conducted. The newly elected ANKSU team is led by president Hamrongdao Difoe, along with vice presidents Vicky Mech and Lairing Jigdung. The executive body includes general secretary Sobir Kumar Mech; joint secretaries Faihamti Longmailai and Mirkhan Dev Mech; finance secretary-cum-treasurer Phalang Jigdong; social and cultural secretaries Pooja Naiding and Dinesh Mech; and reception-cum-organising secretary Sunny Mech. The KTCN extended congratulations to the newly elected ANKSU office bearers and expressed confidence that the team will work with dedication and integrity for the betterment of the student community.
PDVFA to conduct coaching camp
DIMAPUR — The Phek District Veteran Football Association (PDVFA) has informed all the selected players of Phek district to report to Phek town for 3 days of coaching in preparation for the upcoming 13th edition of the NVFA Football Tournament. The coaching will be held from February 3 to the 5th.
