DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor will be felicitating the winners of Governor's Award 2025 for distinction in the field of Arts, Music & Literature, on February 2 at 11 am at Dr. Imkongliba Hall, Lok Bhavan, Kohima, a DIPR report stated.
One knocked down by running train
DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police on January 29 received a written memo from the station manager of NF Railway, Dimapur, stating that one unidentified male (30-40 yrs.), suspected to be a local, was found lying dead at KM 261/5 towards Khatkhati end. On receiving the information, the duty party rushed to the PO site for verification. Inquest confirmed the death was likely knocked down by a running train, Dimapur Police stated in a press release. On completion of all legal formalities, the deceased body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination. The deceased wore a grey T-shirt, black jacket, black pants, and striped boxers. Claimant, relatives and friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the officer-in-charge of GRPS, Dimapur (Mobile No. 7085055021).
ICFAI University hosts course on securities markets
DIMAPUR — The ICFAI University Nagaland hosted a certificate course on securities markets for Management students on January 29 and the 30th. The programme was conducted by Chenio Lotha, Securities Markets Trainer (SMARTS), associated with SEBI/NISM. The course provided insights into personal finance, securities markets, investment awareness, risk management, and career opportunities in the financial services sector. Students actively participated and benefited from the expert-led sessions, the university stated in an update.
