NSCN/GPRN (R) defends Naga rights
DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has expressed concern and anguish over the prevailing situation in “Southern Nagaland.” In a statement, the organisation stated that the “forced kidnapping and disappearance of innocent Naga civilians or forcibly holding them hostages are all against humanity.” “Kukis must know that, any amount of lies or distortion of facts is not going to change the history. The ancestral land of the Nagas belongs to the Nagas and it will remain so. Nagas are one wherever they are and we will defend our historical and political rights at all cost. Any threat to one of the Naga tribe is a challenge to all the Nagas and such challenges will face the full force if put to test.” The NSCN/GPRN (R) expressed hope that good sense would prevail among Kuki leaders and that they would choose peace and harmony over violence. It further stated that violence would not benefit either community.
