Applications invited for MTS post at VHC Chakhabama

DIMAPUR — In compliance with the judgement order of the Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench dated July 24, 2023, applications have been invited from indigenous inhabitants of Kohima district for one post of multi-tasking staff (MTS) at the Veterinary Health Centre (VHC) in Chakhabama. The post falls under pay matrix level-I and is under the establishment of the chief veterinary officer, Kohima, department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services. Applications and details could be obtained from the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Kohima. The last date for the receipt of applications has been set for October 26.

NSCN (Niki) terminates deputy kilonser

DIMAPUR — Niki Sumi-led NSCN/GPRN has terminated its deputy kilonser of Zeliangrong region, Kerinjin Kamei, alias SK Robert, with immediate effect. A termination order dated October 16 issued from the office of Ato Kilonser stated that Kerinjin Kamei has been terminated on the grounds of tarnishing the good image of the government, a statement through its MIP said. The order further stated that Kerinjin Kamei was found to be involved in anti-government activities and misappropriation of government properties and also failed to comply with the notifications served to him on several occasions to appear before the concerned authority to testify to charges against him.

NZPO Kohima calls on Dy. CM

DIMAPUR — A team of officials of the Nagaland Zeliang Public Organization (NZPO), Kohima unit, led by its president, Neiba Newmai, made a courtesy visit to the deputy chief minister, T R Zeliang, at his official residence on October 17. An update from the unit stated that the four-member team felicitated the deputy chief minister and informed him about the various activities and issues concerning the organisation during their interaction with him.

NTCA seeks reschedule of bypoll vote count day

DIMAPUR — In a letter to the Secretary Election Commission of India, Sanjeev Kumar Prasad, the Nagaland Theological Colleges Association (NTCA) has requested that the vote counting for the by-election of 43 Tapi A/C in Nagaland be rescheduled to a day that does not conflict with the Christian holiday of Sunday. It said that while it understands the significance of ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process, it is essential to acknowledge that Sunday holds a special place in the hearts and lives of the Christian community.
