Governor to hold press meet

Joint Secretary to Governor of Nagaland, in a notification, has informed that Governor PB Acharya will be holding a press meet on Sep. 18, 3:30 p.m. at Raj Bhavan, Kohima. All print, electronic, visual Medias including national dailies, TV channels and central government organizations have been invited to the meeting.

ADC Police notifies on firework licence

In accordance with Rule 84 of the Explosive Rules, 2008, Chief Controller of Explosives has notified that temporary fireworks license from will be issued at the office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur. Interested parties to stock and sell fire crackers have been directed to obtain permits for the same i.e. license in form LE-5 after duly filling up form AE-5.

DC Kohima informs GBs, DBs

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan has informed all GBs and DBs under Kohima Sadar area and Kezocha circle to personally collect the government allotted red blankets from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office (Revenue Section) Kohima during office hours.

ANSU convenes emergency assembly

All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANSU) has convened an emergency assembly on Sep. 20, 11:30 a.m. at the Naga Students’ Federation Conference Hall. Two representatives from each college have been asked to attend the assembly positively.

Levi convenes meeting

In connection with the examination of the Nagaland , Lokayukta Bill, 2015, Parliamentary Secretary for Housing and Chairman of the Select Committee on the Nagaland Lokayukta Bill, 2015,Levi Rengma has convened a meeting on Sep. 18, 11 a.m. at the committee room of the Assembly Secretariat. All the concerned committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.

DMC calls meeting with WSC

The Dimapur Municipal Council, Administrator, Moa Sangtam has convened a meeting with all the ward sanitation committee chairman/convener on Sept. 20, 12 noon at his office chamber, to review and assess the work progress of the RST collection. All the concerned have been requested to attend the meeting.

Free eye screening camp in Dimapur

As a part of the Lionistic year 2017-2018, the Lions club of Dimapur will be organizing the 1st free eye screening camp for IOL surgery (cataract) in association with Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital on Sep.16 and the 17th from 8 a.m. at Lions Health Centre, Midland, PWD road, Dimapur. The press release has informed that the medical team will be coming from Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital. Patients will be provided with free medicines and advice. No specks will be provided. The operation for IOL surgery will be conducted at Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital, sponsored by Lions club of Dimapur.
