DC Dimapur convenes meeting on Jan. 14
DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has convened a meeting on January 14 at 11:30 am at the DC’s conference hall to discuss the programme and work distribution for the 77th Republic Day celebration on January 26. DIMAPUR — The election commission of the Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) has announced the schedule for the union's forthcoming elections for key positions, including president, general secretary, and others. Filing of nominations will be held on January 18, followed by scrutiny on January 19, and withdrawal deadline on January 20. Polling is set for a subsequent date, with results to be declared promptly thereafter. All submissions must include a proposer and seconder, and be presented to the election commissioner. Candidates must meet strict qualifications: good standing union membership, no arrears, and submission of necessary forms. Dimapur Police recover unidentified body
DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police on December 16, 2025, received information stating that one unknown male person aged about 40 to 45 years (Nepali) was found lying dead at KM 259/8-259/9 nearby Sam Railway Bazaar. Accordingly, on receipt of information, the duty officer along with the duty party rushed to the spot for verification and on enquiry, the cause of death was suspected to be due to illness, an update from Dimapur Police stated. On completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for PM examination. The deceased, dark in complexion, was wearing white trouser and dark long pants. Claimant, relatives and friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the officer-in-charge, GRPS, Dimapur (Mobile No. 7085055021).
Longleng DPDB meeting on Jan. 9
DIMAPUR — The DPO and member secretary of DPDB Longleng has notified that the monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of January will be held on January 19 at 11 am at the DPDB hall, Longleng.
