Peren to walk for democracy

As part of the clean election campaign initiative, a walk for democracy under the banner ‘Walkathon’ will be organised at Peren town on February 9 at 10 a.m. The walk would begin from the bazaar and culminate at public ground. Deputy commissioner & district election officer, Peren, Smita Sarangi has invited all interested individual to participate at the programme.

Tibetan refugees asked to register

Tibetan refugees residing in Dimapur district are required to register online on or before March 31 without fail. Additional deputy commissioner of police and PRO has directed those Tibetan refugees, who are yet to register online, to submit their documents for online registration to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Nagaland.

ANGDA assures assistance to members

All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association (ANGDA) central committee has assured all possible help and assistance to monitor all the government drivers detailed for election duty during the conduct of the state assembly election 2018. The association president, Neiviseituo and the general secretary Neiketou further requested all the drivers appointed for the election duty to discharge/perform their duties sincerely and punctually.

Tuensang HoDs asked to report for ballot

Deputy commissioner & district election officer, Tuensang, L Jamithung Lotha has directed all heads of department to inform their staff enrolled in other districts and who had applied for Form 12 to submit the same to the postal ballot cell, deputy commissioner’s office, Tuensang, on or before February 10.

Transport dept. revises rate for scrap

In a partial modification to its earlier notification, the Transport department has revised the rate of scrap of condemned vehicles, machineries and unserviceable materials. As per the notification, the scrap rate of condemned vehicles, machineries and unserviceable materials has been fixed at INR 15.00 per kilogram with immediate effect. The notification has been issued with the concurrence of the finance department vide RFC No.256 Dated 15th November, 2017.

Observer convenes meeting in Bhandari

General observer for the 39th and 40th assembly constituencies, Rajeev Sharma, held a meeting with the RO and Sector Magistrates of 40 Bhandari AC on February 8 in the office chamber of the ADC & RO, Bhandari. The observer had apprised on the bounden roles and duties of the officials besides taking a firsthand assessment of preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections. For any query related to election, candidates and agents in the constituency and all concerned are asked to contact mobile nos. 8418450911 and 8787386732. He was accompanied by liaison officer, Thomas Ezung.

Agri. dept conducts training

Agricultural department, Mangkolemba division, has conducted training cum demonstration programme on INM under RKVY Scheme on February 8 in Longtho village. During the training programme, A Temsu Aier, SDAO, Mangkolemba, has emphasised on the importance and method of application of bio-fertilizer and its precaution. On-field training and demonstration was carried out by Chaso Ao, AI.

NDPP welcomes

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has welcomed the decision of the members of the Naga People’s Front’s Dimapur division (women wing), who have resigned and declared their support to NDPP under the leadership of Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio and its president Chingwang Konyak.
